If anything, you might think of Former Sen. Mike Gravel (D-Alaska) and 2008 Democratic Party Presidential Candidate as being an individual with a bias toward the left. Well, most of his views are pretty far to the left. However, he as since left the Democratic Party and is now abiding with Libertarians, finally seeing the flaws with his former party.
